Excellent accommodation. Good for sightseeing and close to the city center. Great rooms and fantastic service. Awesome vibe.

Originally built as a crenellated castle in the 13th century and rebuilt as a hunting and fishing lodge in the 1800s, today Ashford Castle is one of the finest and most luxurious castle hotels in Ireland. It is the former estate of the Guinness family. Ashford Castle dates back to 1228 and is set on the shores of Lough Corrib, Ireland's second largest lake, in the picturesque village of Cong. Today it is recognized as a world class resort property in a private estate of 350 acres. Ashford was the chosen location for the producers and stars during the making of the classic film "The Quiet Man." It has also played host to President and Mrs. Reagan and more recently Pierce Brosnan, aka 007, chose Ashford as the venue for his wedding.

Ashford Castle in Mayo, Ireland has an unsurpassed reputation for providing guests with the very finest accommodation. Each guest room is individual. Many of the 83 rooms retain their original features and all are equipped with modern amenities including Broadband connectivity and Interactive TV.

Creative cooking, inspired use of seasonal ingredients and an innovative menu await you here in the  finest restaurants in Ireland. Our chef Stefan Matz has received many accolades for his culinary expertise and has developed an impressive choice of four unique dining experiences, each with its inimitable style and ambience.

As with our outdoor facilities, we offer our guests the ultimate in pampering. Indulge in our Health & Beauty facilities with dedicated spa treatment rooms offering Yon Ka products. The Yon Ka philosophy is to give skin the means to recover its balance and all its energy. Yon Ka products commit to offer visible results after each skin treatment.
