As part of the development of The Resort at Paws Up, The iconographic Cook Shack was expanded, and now houses two restaurants: Pomp, and The Tank and Trough. Paws Up Ranch is located in the heart of the picturesque Blackfoot Valley, 30 miles northeast of Missoula, in Greenough, Montana. Paws Up is a 37,000-acre luxury guest ranch nestled in the foothills of the Garnet Mountains and the heart of the Blackfoot Valley in Montana. The Resort is framed with the vistas of the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Scapegoat Wilderness and the magnificent Mission Mountains. Meandering through the heart of the property are seven miles of the majestic Blackfoot River.

Directions to Hotel
Directions from Missoula Airport - * Exit the airport to the right onto Broadway. * Then take the first left onto Airport Road. * Follow the signs to enter onto I-90 east and follow through Missoula to the Bonner exit. * This will drop you onto Highway 200 heading east. * Watch for mile marker 24 and turn right onto Sunset Hill Rd between mile markers 24 and 25. * The Resort at Paws Up entrance will be less than a mile on the left.

Skeet Shooting
Sporting Clays is a challenging, wildly fun, and competitive clay target game that simulates actual field hunting. Shoot on specially designed courses that resemble real-life field conditions; the lure of the game lies in its incredible realism. At Paws Up, our Sporting Clays installation features a 12-station course that throws a diversity of aerial target presentations. The clays cross, climb, zip in, fly out, or streak high overhead at speeds and angles accurately simulating the flight patterns of game birds.
Fishing Fly
There's almost nothing in life that rivals the feeling of a hefty trout striking your fly, and the ensuing fight, headshakes and all. With that in mind, we'd like to welcome you to a slice of fly-fishing heaven. The Resort at Paws Up is an angler's retreat that's located within the golden triangle of western trout fishing. It boasts a creel-full of legendary rivers on property or nearby-including the Blackfoot, Bitterroot, Missouri, Rock Creek, Clark Fork and Tomahawk Creek. So whether you're checking off a few more Montana rivers, or are ready to pioneer into some true trout wilderness, this is the place for you.
Golfing
A Round in the Rockies: Just because you're nestled in the middle of the vast, wild and untamed Blackfoot Region of the Rocky Mountains doesn't mean you have to go without a dignified round of eighteen. The 'Double Arrow' Golf Course, hidden on the edge of the Bob Marshall Wilderness, is a gem of a course located less than 20 minutes from Paws Up. All 18 holes are carved among gentle rolling hills and towering Ponderosa pines, offering breathtaking views of the Swan Mountains to the east and the Mission Mountains to the west.
Horseback Riding
Time to cowboy up. From spectacular views of the legendary Blackfoot River to Jones' Pond and the endless conifer forests, our horseback adventures offer a wide-eyed gulp of the Montana wilderness.
