Since its opening in October 2007, The Grand Del Mar continues to impress. The resort received three of Ranch & Coast's "Reader's Choice Best of 2008" awards, including "Best Local Hotel", "Best Gala Venue" and "Best Sommelier" to Wine Director Jesse Rodriguez. The Grand Del Mar was also named one of the "Top New U.S. Hotels" by Gayot in November 2007 and received a rare four and a half-star review by the Los Angeles Times in December 2007.
