Location Summary
Trident is situated less than 10 minutes drive East of Port Antonio on the Anchovy main road. Situated along the island’s northeast coast, Port Antonio has been dubbed the ‘Jamaican Riviera’ for its natural glamour and rich history. The capital town of the parish of Portland - shrouded by the Blue Mountains. Port Antonio is located 2 hours by road or 15 to 30 minutes by private air transfer from Kingston airport. Montego Bay is approximately 3 1/2 hours by road. Portland is a mecca of natural attractions – including the iconic Blue Lagoon, Rio Grande River rafting and Somerset and Reach waterfalls and beaches such as Frenchman's Cove, San San, Winnifred, Boston and Long Bay – that resonate with the history and sequestered elegance that define the area. Over the years, travelers from adv! enturous-minded backpackers to A-list celebrities have passed through Port Antonio only to become instant loyalists. Accommodations range from family-run bed and breakfasts to romantic villas to luxury hotels. As well, the area has been a site location for blockbuster films, including Knight and Day, Cocktail and Lord of the Flies. The town of Port Antonio is a cornucopia of local culture nestled in a relaxed coastal setting.
Directions to Hotel
Port Antonio is a two-hour drive from Kingston via the newly completed road, or a three-hour drive along the beautiful coastal road of St. Thomas. Transfers can also be arranged from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, which is a three and a half hour-drive. A thirty-minute transfer via helicopter from Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport can be arranged to Trident. Air transfers are currently subject to availability, weather conditions and daylight hours.
