The Monte Carlo was originally built as a hotel in 1948. It is now a luxury hi-rise residential building, after being completely re-built in 2014. The interiors are very contemporary and feature many resort-style amenities, while the exterior retains many recreated historic details from the original Mid-Century design.

Churchill Suites Monte Carlo apartment suites include spacious separate sleeping, living and dining areas, private bathrooms, fully-equipped kitchens and a washer and dryer inside the apartment. The one bedroom apartments offer floor plans much larger than hotel rooms and feature either bay views, ocean views, or oceanfront views from each apartment's private balcony. Each apartment is fully furnished with all the comforts of home, including linens and towels, there is one assigned parking spot with each reservation, and daily housekeeping is included. Bedrooms include a deluxe Queen bed with indulgent custom linens, fluffy duvet, plush pillows, two night tables, a clock radio with MP3 player dock, a dresser with mirror, a comfortable side chair, and two closets. Living rooms feature a leather sofa with comfortable memory foam pullout bed, club chair, an entertainment center with a 40” flat panel LED TV, DVD/VCR player, CD stereo system, and a dining area with seating for four. Most apartments feature a work desk, chair and lamp. The gourmet kitchen features contemporary cabinetry, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Full-size stainless steel appliances include a four burner stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator with ice maker, and dishwasher. An electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker, coffee, tea and sweeteners are provided. The ultra-modern bathroom features doors from both the bedroom and living room, a large tub, rain shower head, and over-sized European tiles. Bath amenities including soap, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel and lotion are included, along with two pairs of slippers.
