Set on a large garden estate, Amantaka is housed in graceful French colonial buildings in the UNESCO protected town of Luang Prabang. Airy and elegant throughout, the décor and furnishings reflect the town's French colonial history. Situated just south of Phousi Hill, the resort is within strolling distance of the boutiques, bakeries and restaurants lining the town’s main street. The fabled night market, the picturesque banks of the Mekong River and the former Royal Palace are also nearby.

Location Summary
Luang Prabang, the formal royal capital of Laos, is an enchanting city that is small enough to explore on foot. Declared a United Nations World Heritage Site in 1995, the town is surrounded by extraordinary natural beauty including spectacular waterfalls, sheer amber-coloured cliffs and ancient cave complexes.

Amantaka is a ten minute drive from Luang Prabang International Airport, which is serviced by scheduled flights from Bangkok, Hanoi, Chiang Mai, Siem Reap and Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Complimentary airport transfers are provided to and from the hotel.

Amantaka is little more than a ten minute drive from Luang Prabang International Airport which is serviced by scheduled flights from the primary international gateways of Bangkok (2 hours), Hanoi, Siem Reap, Chiang Mai and Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Domestic flying time between Vientiane and Luang Prabang is 40 minutes.
