Excellent hotel. Great room.
With the village of Lech at its doorstep and the craggy 9,000 foot snow-capped peaks as a backdrop, the casually elegant Kristiania Lech is a top destination for discerning travelers, food and wine lovers, skiers, romance seekers, families and winter outdoor enthusiasts from around the globe.
Kristiania Lech is a boutique property brimming with character and infused with a strong sense of place that breaks the mold of the traditional aesthetics in the Arlberg. The property is an eclectic confluence of playful sophistication and chalet comfort with a cozy, residential atmosphere filled with views of the Arlberg peaks and the village of Lech and the mountains beyond. The hotel’s design is energetic and elegant and draws inspiration from the hotel’s popular and notable contemporary art collection.
Kristiania Lech officially opened its doors as a ski hotel in 1968 by Olympic gold medal winner Othmar Schneider. Paying homage to his Olympic victories, he named his hotel after the Norwegian capital, formerly known as Kristiania.
Set on a hill overlooking Lech, the ski hotel is privileged to offer a breathtaking view of the majestic Arlberg Mountains. The 28 tastefully decorated rooms include 14 suites and an eclectic and sophisticated two-bedroom Penthouse Suite and are centered on the Kristiania Lech’s extensive museum-quality collection of modern art.
Enjoy authentic Austrian dishes, well-sourced and handcrafted cuisine and exquisite fine dining at the hotel’s three superb restaurants. Unwind in the relaxed lobby bar, the stylish Red Bar listening to piano music most evenings.
