Hotel Traube Tonbach

Family-owned since 1789, Hotel Traube Tonbach is a luxury hotel surrounded by the landscapes of the Black Forest National Park in Baden-Württemberg. Originally opened in the 18th century as a traditional tavern for charcoal makers and lumbermen, today the five star hotel mixes modern accommodations with a focus on hospitality.

Inspired by elegant country houses, guest rooms and apartments offer an exclusive Black Forest ambiance. There are large windows showcasing the surrounding landscape, plush fabrications, sitting areas, and bathrooms with deep soaking bath tubs. For families with children, there are special family apartments across from the main hotel in the Haus Kohlwald.

Focused on culinary excellence, the property offers four restaurants including the Bauernstube—the resort's traditional restaurant serving authentic Black Forest cuisine. The Schwarzwaldstube is the only restaurant in Germany to be awarded three Michelin stars for 25 years, with a dedicated sommelier, menu created to provide a culinary journey in aromas, textures, and nuances, and an on-site pastry chef. There's also the rustic yet elegant Köhlerstube also with a Michelin star, and the Silberberg Restaurant with daily changes of menus and buffets. The property's wine cellar has more than 36,000 precious bottles of wine, and guests can try wines in the Traube Vinothek. While the Traube Bar offers exclusive cognacs and crafted cocktails.

For guests interested in the art of cooking, the Traube Tonbach cookery school offers cooking classes led by the hotel's head chef. Participants learn to prepare a multi-course meal, and the sommelier selects wine to complement each course.
