Top Restaurants in Paris: Le Meurice Wins Big

December 1, 2009| By:Mary Winston Nicklin

Le MeuriceHats off to Yannick Alléno, the chef at Le Meurice in Paris, whose restaurants just snagged eight chef's hats in the 2009 edition of the French guide Gault & Millau. This is the first time that a Parisian palace hotel has achieved this honor. The gastronomic resto earned 5 chef's hats, and Le Dali (trendiness incarnate) got three. Created in 1969 by Henri Gault and Christian Millau, the gastronomic guide Gault & Millau is said to be the most respected and well-known guide after the Michelin Guide. Heading to Paris for the Christmas season? Check into Le Meurice and get spoiled with all kinds of delights: daily breakfast, Champagne & petit fours in room on arrival, Christmas Gift and candies for children, upgrade upon availability at check-in. The Holiday Package is priced from 560 euros. Related Articles: All-Chocolate Breakfast in Paris at Le Meurice
